How My Peers Feel…

Blog B

One great question that I read from one of my peers is that “are schools at fault for killing creativity?” by Jeff. I feel that some schools are because, some school wants kids to be only taught one way and teachers are frowned a pun for not following the procedures. One example is that I went to a catholic school and they wanted us to be taught the way they wanted. Also at this school they only gave us textbooks that they approved for us to be taught out of. They feel that some textbooks teach thing that go against the catholic beliefs so they didn’t want us to read it.

I felt that it is not fair because, they are withholding information from us. So they choose to have their student to remain ignorant in certain topics because, they didn’t agree with it. In my high school they didn’t even want to teach revolution because, they felt it went against god. So I do agree that it is the schools fault that peoples creativity is not as good as it could be. Some schools hold back its students in order to have the student body act a certain way. It is as if they try to program us to think a certain way which is bad and can hold back students.

I also agree with jeff when he said that the schools hold them back with the point that he gave with the child dancer with A.D.D. I feel that this is a strong response because, he stated information  from an outside source to back up his opinion which can make his argument valid. I can apply this to my studying skills because, sometimes just learning the material isn’t enough. When using outside sources to help better understand a topic can help you out in the long run.
